Children’s Musician Dino O’Dell to visit Joplin Public Library
June 4, 2010
Children’s musical educator and entertainer Dino O’Dell will help kickoff the 2010 children’s summer reading club when he visits the Joplin Public Library on Thursday, June 10th. Children will learn how to swim in peanut butter, surf with sharks and fix spaceships during Dino’s Make a Splash show.
Dino, also known as Kevin Dolan, has worked professionally in rap, polka, and disco and has been entertaining audiences of all ages for years with his fun, interactive music and storytelling. Dino’s music groups have opened for the legendary Alvin and the Chipmunks and his children's music CDs include “Dino O’Dell and the Veloci-Rappers” and "Itty Bitty Monsters." His performance will engage children through singing, dancing, fill-in-the-blank lyric writing, fingerplays and counting songs.
Dino will perform back-to-back shows in the library’s Large Meeting Room during his visit, with the first starting promptly at 2:30 p.m. and a repeat performance taking place at 3:30 p.m. Bring the whole family and come prepared for a rockin’ good time!
