City reopens Murphy Boulevard

The City of Joplin is reopening Murphy Blvd between 4th Street and 7th Street by 5:00pm this afternoon. 5th Street will also be reopening this afternoon between Murphy Blvd and Kentucky Ave.
On Thursday, May 27th, 5th Street will be temporarily reclosing between Murphy Blvd and Kentucky Ave to allow Missouri American Water to repair their water main. This temporary closure of 5th Street will be until Tuesday, June 1st.
This reopening is in conjunction with the 5th and Cox/4th and Murphy project contracted through Snyder Construction.
