McClelland Boulevard to close between 26th and Old 32nd for stormwater work
May 6, 2010
A stretch of McClelland Boulevard in the medical area of Joplin will close next week due to construction.
Starting Monday, May 10, McClelland Boulevard will be closed between 26th and Old 32nd Street to install a new box culvert. This closure will be south of St. Johns entrance. Detours will be posted, as the public will still have access to St. John’s and other businesses in this area throughout the construction period.
This stormwater improvement project is funded through the Parks and Stormwater ¼-cent sales tax that citizens voted in support of in November 2001. Kenny Singer Construction is the contractor.
This closure could take a few weeks. Motorists are asked to use caution and may wish to seek an alternate route.
