Free disc golf instruction available this Saturday, May 8

Looking for something to do this weekend? Take an opportunity to learn more about disc golf by participating in a free instructional and fun clinic about this activity.
On Saturday, May 8th, the Joplin Disc Golf Club and the Joplin Parks & Recreation Department will host a Free Disc Golf Day at Parr Hill Park for anyone who wishes to learn about the sport of disc golf.
There will be small clinics and demonstrations on the basics of the game, throwing and putting, along with individual tips and advice. A beginner-friendly, five-hole course will be set up within the park to allow everyone a chance to play a mini-round of disc golf. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and each lesson will last approximately 45 minutes. The first 50 participants will receive a free disc.
