Medical services and WIC program featured on Joplin Insider show

Learn more about services offered through two of the City’s Health Department’s divisions in the next  Joplin Insider program airing on KGCS-TV.

Host Lynn Onstot talks with Cynthia Burnham, R.N., coordinator of the Medical Services Division, during the first part of the show to discussing the various services and programs for children and adults, including immunizations, preventative care and community health topics. The second portion of this show features the Women, Infant, Children’s program (WIC). Joyce Doty, coordinator of the program, provides information on the many services and educational opportunities that are included in WIC.

“Joplin Insider” is an interview program airing on KGCS-TV. Joplin Public Information Officer Lynn Onstot hosts the half-hour program that is produced through the facilities of KGCS-TV. It may be seen at various times in upcoming weeks. Initial airdates include:

Tue. 11/5 – 7 p.m.

Wed. 11/6 – 6 p.m.

Thur. 11/7 – 7 p.m.

Mon. 11/11 – 9 p.m.

Wed. 11/13 – 7 p.m.

Thur. 11/14 – 7 p.m.

KGCS-TV operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University. Programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22, as well as regional cable television systems including Cable One, Mediacom and Suddenlink.
