...RED FLAG WARNING TODAY...

.A VERY DRY AIR MASS COMBINED WITH GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS AND WARMER
TEMPERATURES WILL LEAD TO SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
TODAY. THE MOST CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL OCCUR ACROSS
THE OSAGE PLAINS OF EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND SOUTHWESTERN
MISSOURI WHERE A RED FLAG WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED.

SOUTHERLY WIND GUSTS OVER 20 MPH WILL BE COMMON TODAY WITH GUSTS OVER 30
MPH. AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL FALL INTO THE 20 TO 25
PERCENT RANGE ACROSS MOST OF THE REGION WITH SOME LOCATIONS
POSSIBLY FALLING INTO THE TEENS.

MOISTURE LEVELS WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE FRIDAY AHEAD OF THE NEXT STORM SYSTEM.
THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING SHOWERS TO THE REGION FRIDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY
SATURDAY.
