Citizens’ newsletter highlights health topics, pet issues, curbside recycling & upcoming events

Residents within the city recently received the Summer issue of “The Citizen”, the City’s quarterly newsletter in their mailboxes. 

This issue includes a summary of the curbside recycling’s first year; a tourism study and an overview of the programs offered through Parks and Recreation in upcoming months. Other news items highlight the City’s Health Department’s vaccination clinic and the Animal Control division’s discounted pet program; as well as the October Chautauqua featuring Thomas Hart Benton.

This newsletter is the third edition of the 2017 quarterly publication, with the next issue to be published in October.  The newsletter is mailed to every household in the City of Joplin, as well as posted on the City’s website at . It originated in 2004 as a tool to help communicate with residents on City projects, programs and services.
