Highlights from the Richard Boss Political Americana Collection

Obtained in April of 2009, this collection of Political Americana spans our country's politics from President Washington to President Obama. Unique, rare and sometimes quirky artifacts cover various elections, presidential memorabilia, party nominations, and political collectibles.

Trout Run Charity Bicycle Tour

September 22, 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM @ Neosho to Cassville

Scenic rolling hills straight out and back from Neosho to Cassville, Missouri along many newly paved roads. There will be rest and replenishing stops at different places along the way, and a meal when you get back. We start at the historic Neosho National Fish Hatchery and pedal our "fins" off to Cassville, famous for Roaring River State Park--another great trout hatchery. This is a charity ride, proceeds will be used to benefit school-based dental services for uninsured disadvantaged children and the Joplin Trails Coalition.

Art Feeds Paint Wars 2012

September 22, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ The Bridge

On Saturday, September 22 2012, Art Feeds will be hosting the Art Feeds Paint Wars! This event is an awesome mixture of dodgeball, capture the flag, and a water balloon fight- with paint! The game begins with two teams on opposite sidelines. When the whistle blows, it means war. Paint balloons will be littering the ground on each side of the field. It is each team’s job to successfully find the balloons and eliminate the opposing team via splatter paint. The winner of each round will move on in the winners' bracket. The opposing team moves on in the non-winners' bracket. This double elimination bracket guarantees two games for each team entering the competition. This could be a great team building exercise for your staff or perhaps a good way to release some of that pent up aggression! Either way, it will be messy, colorful, and a whole lot of fun, not to mention all the proceeds from this event benefit Art Feeds 3,800 students.

2012 Carl Junction Bluegrass and Crafts Festival

September 22, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM @ Carl Junction, Missouri, is located 8 miles northwest of Joplin, on Highway 171. Watch for the signs.

Bluegrass Music, there is a Car Show, Crafts, and numerous Children's activities, as well as jamming in the shade. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy this fun filled day.

Through meticulously fabricated maquesttes, drawings, and a stunning full-scale sculpture, Fleming celebrates "the mundane, the cosmological, and the scientific" in beautifully crafted works.

Anime 101 with Amber Baker

This class teaches the drawing techniques used in the popular anime style of drawing. Students learn how to draw their own anime characters using proportion, gesture, and expressions. Impress your friends with your new-found drawing skills.
